• Session Overview

Get the treatment you need for all of your muscular pain and discomfort. All sessions are customized therapeutic massages with balanced pressure and flowing strokes. Not all bodies are the same, so a variety of modalities are blended to address each client’s goals for the session.

Session styles are determined based on body coverage, not on pressure.

  • No Tipping Policy

    That’s right! You read correctly.

You wouldn’t tip your chiropractor or your physical therapist. Our prices are our prices, and the best way to give us praise for our services is word of mouth referrals, online reviews and repeat business!

    The Custom Blend

When a client would like a full body massage with touches of focus work on “trouble areas.” Tension points are “melted” away with petrissage, slow compression and passive movement to reduce the body’s “fight or flight” and allow clients to reach a balanced, restful state.

60 min sessions are recommended for one or two areas of focus (for example, upper body OR lower body), 90 minute and above are recommended if clients would like attention to one focus area in addition to a head-to-toe session.

    Prenatal Massage

For expectant mother in all stages of pregnancy to alleviate aches and pains associated with pregnancy. For those clients in the first trimester of pregnancy, massage positioning is as in a standard session. For those in the second and third trimester, the session begins with side-lying positioning (not belly-down) to get to back and hips, and then a supported supine (face up) position for the remainder of the body. All sessions leave mama feeling refreshed and pampered, with full safety for mom and baby.

**We hope to bring in belly-down prenatal cushioning in the future, but so far have been unimpressed with the offerings that allow for natural variations in belly sizes for all women to comfortably rest face down. Side lying massage is a wonderful way to address the changes in hip tensions as relaxin loosens and widens the pelvic girdle (SIJ and pubic symphysis) in each stage of pregnancy.

  • postpartum, mothers, stress, trauma, healthcare

    Postpartum Massage

Postpartum massage is recommended at six weeks after delivery of a baby, after miscarriage or birth trauma, unless coordinated with the client's healthcare practitioner or midwife.

The benefits of postpartum massage are many, including overall relaxation, reduction of anxiety and depression, and increase restorative sleep.

Please note, as with prenatal massage, there can be contraindications for receiving massage before and after pregnancy. If you’ve had blood clots in your pregnancy or previously, your doctor will likely have already recommended you avoid massage. Check with your doctor when it is safe to resume massage sessions.

  • TMJD, headaches, jaw pain, whiplash

    TMJD Work

Intraoral massage works the muscles on the inside of the mouth. It can be recommended by dentists or healthcare practitioners for issues such as TMJ tension, teeth grinding, headaches, whiplash and neck tension.

Muscles that are often worked with IO Massage are the masseter, lateral/medial pterygoid and digastric muscles, as well as many of the facial muscles. The therapist will always have medical gloves on to provide a safe and sanitary experience for the client.

The pressure application is always slow and gentle, but due to the nature of this work, it can feel sensitive and invasive before an increased sense of relief. Communication between the client and therapist is always maintained to ensure comfort and optimal results. Clients can experience some tenderness and soreness post-session, but this resolves quickly.

Once the intra-oral work is completed, the therapist works on face, scalp, neck and shoulders to round out the session for the most effective relief work possible. The entire session time is 60 minutes, though the time spent on the intra-oral muscles is about 15-20 minutes, depending on the assessment and tolerance of the client to the work.

  • thai compress, thai massage, steam, heat

    Table Thai Massage

Often called “lazy man’s yoga” this is a blend of passive stretching and massage, performed on the table with the client fully clothed. Hot herbal compresses are applied to warm and soothe muscles during the session. Clients who are nervous about traditional massage that requires undressing may find this a great introduction to touch therapy. This is also great for athletes or those with more sedentary jobs that need extra attention to joint movement.

This session is offered as a 60 or 90 minute session.

    Massage for Adolescents 10+

Following the guidance and teaching of Tina Allen, LMT, a world renowned pediatric massage specialist, I work with kids in the same way I work with adults, addressing issues of stress and tension, in a way that allows adolescents to feel empowered and safe.

30 minute sessions are available for kids 10 and 11 if they are smaller in stature or feel that a shorter session is better for their attention span and comfort. We want the massage experience to be comforting and relaxing, so that it can be included as a part of positive stress management later in life. Consultations by phone or email are encouraged prior to beginning a pediatric massage regimen.

For clients ages 10-15, parents must be on premises for the duration of the massage session, and a parental waiver filled out prior to the session.
